At an elevation of 1,200m above sea level, right below the majestic Hoang Lien Son range, Tam Duong district in Lai Chau province offers not only beautiful scenic spots such as Tac Tinh waterfall, the Ban Bo water wheels, Tien Son cave and the Rong May glass bridge. This land nurtures tea trees day by day, cared for by the local communities over many generations, gradually becoming an important part of the culture of the native inhabitants. With fertile, nutrient-rich soil and a large temperature range between day and night, the place offers the perfect timing and terrain for the tea trees to grow and thrive, bearing the distinctive flavor of the Northwest Vietnam mountains and forests.

Building on that advantage, over many years Tam Duong Tea Investment and Development Joint Stock Company has proactively built a closed-loop production chain into a sustainable system. In terms of raw-material area, the company has more than 1,000 hectares of high-quality clean tea concentrated in the communes of Ban Bo, Muong Khoa, Na Tam and Phuc Khoa, with 2,000 households taking part. Thanks to the dedication put into production, with every stage from growing, tending, harvesting, processing, packaging to storage being strictly and scientifically controlled, each tea product carries a barcode, offers traceability of origin and guarantees its quality. In 2017 the company was granted the certificate of the right to use the "Tam Duong Tea" trademark by the Tam Duong District People's Committee. In 2019 the company achieved the ISO 22000:2005 quality management certification. The company is also the first unit to be certified for organic tea area with 28.6ha, certified under Rainforest Alliance sustainable agriculture with an area of 171ha, and certified VietGAP for 40ha of tea.

Organic jasmine green tea is a combination of jasmine flowers and Kim Tuyen green tea (a Taiwanese variety) that has achieved the USDA and EU organic standards, grown in Ban Bo, Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province. The company has been and continues to provide work for nearly 2,000 highland ethnic households through tea growing; the income of these communities has risen, with many families earning from 60-120 million VND per year.
